Rajasthan Royals(RR), the team from Jaipur nurtured by Shane Warne with love and care during seams 1 and 2 seams to have lost steam. Though Shane Warne is around the team looks to be in tatters. RR fist lost Ravindra Jadeja due to the controversy surrounding his plans to join Mumbai Indians. Shane Watson, star performer of previous seasons is joining late. And into the third match, senior players Graeme Smith and Dimitri Mascarenhas are out of action for the whole season, due to injuries.

What was left was a rag tag-team with woeful bowling and batting credentials. The new recruits including Lumb and Damien Martyn failed to strike the ball, long enough. Morkel Jr was a pale shadow of Morkel Sr who plays for Chennai. Yusuf Pathan has been unpredictable and only if he hits a hundred (one in a blue moon though!), the team could perform decently, if not win!
The performance by Rajasthan Royals against Bangalore, on 18 March was abysmal. The team seem to be in dumps, after three successive losses. Worse than any local gully cricket club team. For the in-stadia crowd and TV viewers, its a waste of time watching RR perform. The TRP of matches featuring Rajasthan Royals is bound to fall and advertisers may be forced to seek refund! The state of RR Team is definite bad publicity for IPL, known for exhilarating sports entertainment.
May be IPL should reconsider the ban on Jadeja, if only for its own stake, since the current rag-tag RR team may damage IPL Brand Image
