India's quest to achieve total independence in cryogenic engine technology failed on Thursday when its Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, GSLV - D3, tumbled into the Bay of Bengal. This happened after the indigenous cryogenic engine ignited on time 304 seconds after the lift-off but the two steering engines of the cryogenic stage appeared not to have ignited.

Tata Motors the largest automobile company in India which incidentally also owns Jaguar Land Rover, is at the receiving end of customer ire with reports of spontaneous combustion of the "World's Cheapest Car", Tata Nano.In the latest event, a customer in Mumbai who had taken delivery of his car after several months of waiting, escaped unhurt when the car caught fire while being driven from Concorde Motors, one of the Tata Nano Dealers in Mumbai, to his house.

An explosive device, was found on a Kingfisher flight on Sunday morning in a major breach of security shortly after it landed in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala. Its likely that terrorists are in the process of infiltrating into flight staff or security agencies. Recent arrest of an IM operative who had undergone pilot training points to serious plan by terrorists to strike civil aircrafts flying in India.
