I booked 2 tickets from Bangalore to Chandigarh for 10th February 2011. Waiting for over a week for cancellation, I called up Go Air customer support and was told that I won't be given cash refund, instead a credit note for Rs 14K+, after deducting 1500 Rs cancellation fee, will be generated which will be valid for 1 year. I was shocked to hear this. When I booked the ticket online it showed as refundable. I stay outside India and visit very rarely and there are very less chances that I will be using this credit note in a year. I have written 5-6 mails to feedback@goair.in. They replied just once with credit note details, but have stopped responding after that. I need to settle my credit card bill but Go Air is not buzzing at all. This is clear cheating, when an airline has deducted the cancellation fee, how can it hold the amount. Can someone please help in getting this refund amount.
