Dear Sir,I am a frequent traveler by go air and appreciate the service offered by your airlines. Recently i had booked ticket for my Mother\'s sister from bangalore to Mumbai on the 8th of may flight no being G8 202 which was scheduled to depart at 12pm from the airport.She was carrying two suit cases with trolleys out of which the trolley of one was found broken when the luggage was received. On interacting with the Go Air staff about replacement of the bag ,we were told to call up the call center and find out if an arrangement could be made to deliver another bag cos of the inconvenience caused without any fault on part of the traveler.We left the airport and have been following up this matter since she has to leave for U.S (Since she is a resident of U.S)on the 17th May.We received a call from the call center and were told to accept a compensation of rs 200. A new bag cost rs 2 to 2,500 and the compensation offered was 200Rs.It is indeed shameful to know that a big Comapny like Go air which is run by the Wadia group has no policy for replacement of baggage if damaged by the staff or mishandled by the staff during transit.It is not the question of money involved here but of ethics in business. I considered go Air to be one of the top air lines owing but am really disappointed with the way this matter has been handled. we can very well buy a new bag but the way this matter is handled puts the whole nation in shame as comapred to U.S where the baggage is replaced instantly if found to be damaged due to the mishandling of the staff.I sincerely appeal to the authorities to look into this matter to avoid putting our nation\'s name at stake and also to raise the standard of ethics in business.I am a journalist at Hindustan times by profession so believe in the rights and also to fight for the same. If there is no action taken against this complain I shall definitely not think twice before approaching the news media about this incident
