This is to inform that i had booked a to and fro ticket from Kochi to Hyderabad and return on 10th August from a booking agent Vibgyor Holidays. The given date of travel was on 13th August from Kochi to Hyderabad and the return was dated on 15th August from Hyderabad to Kochi under the reference number HG6RBW. Due to traffic i was not able to arrive at Kochi Airport only 15 minutes prior to departure.

I would like to inform that your ground staff was totally unhelpful and the experience with your ground staff at Kochi airport was not only disappointing but also an unpleasant one. Rather than being sympathetic and understanding to my situation they seemed more than happy to criticize in my delay. Understanding the limitations i cancelled my travel plans.

I had requested my travel agent to postpone the return ticket to 10th September so that i may utilise the same when i go to Hyderabad in the 1st week of September and also paid the additional amount to make the change of date. Unfortunately I had to cancel my travel plans again but at least this time due to my personal reasons.

When my travel agent tried to cancel my ticket he was informed that this was not possible as it a \"round about\" ticket and that i had to use the ticket or forfeit the money spent. The same was communicated to me on 7th September by your customer care. But pointed out that the return ticket was postponed and an additional amount was payed for the change of date and hence cannot be a part of a \"round about\" ticket. The then supervisor at the the customer care toll free service had informed that someone from your team would get back to me with a clarity on the same before the end of the day on 8th September. But i had no revert from anyone in your customer care.

When contacted to your customer care they have informed that the amount cannot be refunded as it was a part of their policy and that if i was not informed on the policy then i had to interact to the travel agent for any refunds. The feeling that was transpiered was that i was more of the travel agents responsibilty than the fact that i was the end customer for IndiGo My travel agent has knowledge that a \"round about\" trip when postponed and for which an additional amount has been paid will not be reimbursed.

Stating policy as reason, in this case, for not refunding a ticket, that i will not use seems as total scam from my perception. I have no intention for asking a refund on the flight missed due to my delay in reaching the airport. But i do intend to ask for a reimbursement for the ticket i have not used.

I would request you to look into the issue and request you to do the necessary to refund my return ticket after deducting the cancellation charges. I have attached my ticket details issued by you for your perusal in my mail to customer.relations@goindigo.in . Please note if any such policies exist then they should be mentioned in the Ticket copy provided to a client and in case it is a policy that the client has know this only when he calls the customer care for refund. Then that is a policy that has to be looked from a legal perspective at least from a Consumer Court point of view. The objective of such an exercise will be to ensure that future domestic air travellers will have clarity on their stand for refunds from Airline companies.

Please feel free to revert in any of my below numbers for any additional details. I would also request you to consider this mail as my cancellation request for my ticket from Hyderabad to Kochi on 11 September.
