On 4/11/11, I had enquired in toll free No.18001801407 for flights concessional rate (for Indian Armed Forces)for the flight No.AI 851 from Delhi to Pune for journey on 5/11/11 and I was informed by the customer support executive that Rs.4434 is the cost of above ticket. Also, I had asked that since it was about 8 pm on 4/11/2011 that I could not arrange for concession form (Prescribed form through which I could avail the concession)this movement since my office is already closed. In reply, I was informed that there is no need for the form instead my Identity card will serve the purpose. But, when I reached the airport, firstly, ticketing cabin agents informed that my ticket will be Rs.6485/- at any cost and later after a prolonged debate and clarifying through toll free no. at around 11 pm, cabin assistants at Airport T3 Delhi( accepted for Rs.4434/- from Del to Pune in above flight but I was informed that can be done only on production of concession certificate by commander. Since I was on some urgent/emergency work, I went in for Rs.6485/- ticket (My seat no. was 27A) which has not only put me in loss of Rs.2000/- plus but also wondered what Air India is doing without proper inter communication between their own customer care. I request your complaint cell to look into and return my Rs.2000/- which was excessively received from me.
