My Husband Mr.S.P.Narsing Rao was admitted in NIMS on 17-08-2011 to undergo Angiogram on 18-08-2011, after the test 2 blockages detected by Dr.Sheshagiri Rao and his assistant Dr.Vijay Amarnath Gandhi. We were suggested for angioplasty to implant 2 stents within 2 days. After completing all formalities through CGHS , an on line payment was done by the Dept to the extent of Rs.195600/-+9600. On 24-08-2011 patient was taken for surgery.Inside the cathlab my husband was approached by another Asst.Doctor saying that we have to pay and additional amount of Rs.20,000/ for each stent in cash. My husband refused by saying that amount as estimated already being paid by the Dept.hence individual payment cant.be done. After 3 hrs my husband was brought outside without implanting the stents. Dr.Sheshagiri Rao told us that patient\\\'s position is very risky hence they didnot do it and he should undergo stress Thalium test at Apolo Hospital. After this test Dr.Shiv Kumar of Apollo Hospitals performed the surgery without any hussle and by God\\\'s grace he is safe and attending his office as a normal person.I have observed during my stay at NIMS Doctors are scaring the attenders and the patient himself by saying that his life is at risk and lot of danger is awaited which is not so. I hereby caution the patients attending NIMS Hospital not to get carried away by such caution. Moreover billing side officials lack knowledge of online payment procedure.
