I was travelling from Delhi to Ahmedabad on Jetairways flight no S2 123 on the 9th of November 2011. On arrival in Ahmedabad when I collected my check in Baggage I found the suitcase was broken from thr wheel portion not only shearing the wheel but also breaking the body of the suitcase. It was a VIP make Hard top Suitcase 360 degree wheeling which the airlines had broken. I immediately lodged a complaint with the duty manager and the jetairways other staff available there. since the Suitcase was a hard top Suitcase the airways duty manager agreed that the same cannot be repaired and had to be replaced. I did all the formalities and registered the complaint. The Jet people collected the suitcase from my home the next days and on contact to them again assured that the bag shall be replaced by the airliner, since they accepted again that the hard top suitcase cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced.

To my utter surprise after lots of follow up with the Jetairways when the delivered the suitcase through a driver with out any responsible person accompanying him, they had simply pasted the wheel portion and returned it to me against all the promise that they had made for the replacement of the bag. I had not accepted the suitcase and did not keep the suitcase to the jetAirways along with the driver himself. On further inquiring the same with the Jet Airways office neither the concerned duty manager Mr. Mehul Shelat nor did M/s Ekta who ahd taken the complaint ever came on to the line. I was told Jet could do anything more than pasting of the wheel, which is a ridiculous way of addressing the issue.

Now this suitcase cannot be used as has been repaired by Jet and every body in the world including the jet staff Knows the same. i have traveled with this suitcase across the worl and nothing has happened adn it is purely due to the mishandling of the Jet airways staff that the suitcase was broken.
