My original complaints was as follows.

Dear Sir,

I purchased YO-Speed 750 for which warranty was given as One year/12000 km. in July 2008. During May 2010 the batteries of my vehicle became non-working/dead. During this period batteries of my vehicle replaced in warranty period once and during this period the running of my vehicle was 17600 km. Considering the cost of Rs.13500/- for one set of batteries + electricity, the expenditure per kilometer was more than Rs.2/- , instead of 10 paisa per km. declared in the catalog of the company.

When I went to the authorized dealer M/s Nandkishore Automobiles, Central Avenue Road, Nagpur to replace the batteries, I was told that 4 batteries cost Rs.13500/- with 4 months/3000 km. replacement warranty and from 5th month to 12th months/6500 km. warranty on Pro-Rata (depreciation) basis. Whereas on purchase of new vehicle they are providing 15000 km./ 18 months battery warranty. Also confirmed by company in their e-mail dt. 27th May 2010 to me.

When the company is claiming that batteries fitted in new vehicle as well as supplied for replacement for old vehicle are of equal quality then why this contradiction in warranty?

Even on replacement of batteries the expenditure per km. will be around Rs.2 as per the much less warranty provided, instead of 10 paisa per km. as declared by the company resulting in cheating and befooling the innocent customers.

Suitable action to save the innocent customers from such tactics may please be taken in the interest of the justice and oblige.

We have acknowledged the mail regarding the complaint ID no 2177.
Pursuant to you complaint regarding warranty period for new battery which has less warranty compared to new purchased vehicle. In this connection, we have already submitted the facts and particulars to resolve your query which has been communicated to you earlier. We humbly reiterate that to refer our all earlier replies given to you, regarding the battery warranty policy purchased thru the spares.
We once again giving the details of warranty policy for the battery of 12 V 33 Ah purchased thru spares -
4 months or 3000 kms free replacement of the batteries ( whichever occurs earlier from the date of purchase ) and for
remaining 8 months (6500kms) the cost is to be charged as per the table below:

In above mail company had given the datails of battery warranty which they are already providing and it is not at all economical

In above reply company had delibaretely kept aside the main issues, where they are befooling the innocent customers, these are

1. Cost of running the vehicle 10 paisa per km. given in companies advertisement.
2. Yo-Speed/Yo byke is very much economical to petrol vehicle, whereas cost of running is more, spare parts are far costlier compare to petrol vehicle.
3.Yo-Speed/Yo byke had too limitations as compared to petrol vehicle of same category.
4. Inspite of all these limitations cost of the vehicle is Rs.40,000/- which is equivalent to petrol vehicle
Hence company is cheating the customers by fabulous advertising and vehicle become scrap after one or two year, just like use and throw tactics. An average Indian cannot afford such cheating, so action should be taken against company.
