I have purchased Innova in Aug-2010 (Reg No: AP 9BZ 3829), Everyone should know my experience with Toyota online service, web and dealer support before purchase.
My vehicle was suddenly stopped on busiest VIP passing road (Rajbhavan Road) on 27.01.12 at 10.30AM (Latest service happened first week of Jan’12). Immediately I contacted my dealer (Harsha Toyota) for help. They gave me a online road support number. When I contacted them they told they are out of station and will reach in the evening. Once again I contacted the dealer they gave one more number, when I contacted him he also confirmed the same it will be evening only. I requested for a check with technician, he told wait for some time. Then I contacted 1800 425 0001 at 2.30PM, they put me in conference with the dealer, I explained him everything. The toeing van arrived to site 4.15PM. The vehicle was reached the workshop at 5.15 and they have not touched the vehicle on that day. The situation was posted in Toyota web in “contact us” as FEEDBACK is not functioning.
On 28.01.12, as there is no feedback from the workshop I once again contacted 1800 425 0001, they told my complaint was not registered. I once again explained him whole story. At that time I received a call from workshop stating that they have not identified the problem and going to remove the dash board for checking electrical side. In the evening around 7.20 I received call from workshop stating there may be problem with engine wiring. I wondered how it will be possible, because I am having great expectations with TOYOTA, QC. They explained that it will be confirmed only on 30.10.12.
On 29.01.12 afternoon I called 1800 425 0001, why there is no call from Toyota to enquire the status. She recorded my grievance and gave me the complaint no.DCM 0112011681.
On 01.02.12 I received information from the workshop stating that due to AUTOCOP central locking system ECM, engine wire and reinforcement wiring failed. I asked one simple question, it was installed at the time of purchase after one and half year how it will happen? And there is no answer from them.
Today 04.02.12, I am taking back my vehicle from showroom workshop due to non availability of spares. Latest expectation of spares is on 17.02.12. Till date there is no call from Toyota. This is Toyota India.
My observations in the situation,
1. Only one on road support van is available with the dealer, out of thousands of vehicles he sold.
2. Technician support not available within the city.
3. Toyota 1800 425 0001 listen to dealer’s version only.
4. You should not expect any updates from Toyota.
5. Showroom workshop interested in replacement of part, not in repair it.
6. Toyota India not expecting any feedback from the customer.
7. And finally DON’T TRUST THE QC BY TOYOTA.
