West Anand Bagh Colony,Safilguda,Malkajgiri, Hyderabad is a residential colony which had no unauthorized commercial activity a few year back Now it has come up with the following: Tea Stalls, Mixture Shop, hairdressing saloons, tyre puncture shop, auto repair shop, a welding shop etc, all co-located within a few meters of one another. These shops, singly as well as together, have made virtually uninhabitable. The smoke & noise , cars, lorries, tractors parked in front of the shops sometimes totally block the road in the bylane putting the resident’s people in embarrassing situation of walking on the road. It has also has become a hub for alcohol consumption. People consume alcohol on the road side, shops etc. Few people opposite Bhavani Super Market and beside transformer(way to Hanuman temple) & in the baylanes gather about 10 to 15, and start drinking till late in the night causing lot of insecurity to the residents. Residents find very difficult to go by Hanuman Temple Lane &opposite transformer lanes as there is a gang sitting . The residents of the neighboring localities and the road-users say the authorities should take stringent action against the shopkeepers, auto & Tax drivers for the road encroachments Residents wants to know as to how permission for Shops in the bylanes has been given GHMS & APSEB.
