I am highly frustrated with the kind of service that ACER INDIA is providing for their laptops. I had bought a GATEWAY laptop ( Service provided by Acer India) from Staples Ghatkopar Outlet, on the 18th of October 2010. The laptop started giving me problems in the 1st week of November, i had given the same to NEWTECH COMPUTERS PVT. LTD. - Saki Vihar Road, Andheri(E) on the 9th Nov.2010, for a good 12 days or more they kept saying that they are yet to receive the mother board from ACER INDIA, which was to be replaced to sort the problem. I then spoke to Ms.Shubha Sharma, from ACER, and was assured that she would look into the matter and sort it out in a couple of days. I waited for another week, but still the motherboard was yet to be received by the service center. I finally got my laptop \"SERVICED\" on the 1st of December 2010, only to find that none of the function keys were working, hence, could\'nt enable the Blie tooth, WiFi etc.I went and returned the laptop at Staples, Ghatkopar on the 6th of December 2010. Asking them to replace the laptop or let me but a higher end laptop of the same brand. To which they asked me to get a \"DOA\" ( Dead on Arrival) note from the Service center, after which they said they will replace the same. But, till date ( 15-12-2010) i have neither got a replacement nor have i got the laptop repaired by ACER. I feel these companies are out there to CHEAT THEIR BUYERS of their hard earned money and spend only on publicity and promotions.I want customers with similar experiences to join me and file a consumer case against such companies.
